You can now save your payment method and enable automatic renewal

Hola Tienda

Until now, every time an extension (Web Hosting, Custom Domain, etc.) expired, you had to log into your account and pay manually to keep it active.

That's changed: now, when paying for an extension, you can check the "use this method for future payments" option and save your card or another payment method available in your country. From then on, when the extension is about to expire, Hola Tienda will automatically try to charge for the same period you had contracted — without you having to do anything.

How does it work?

  • When paying for an extension (from the Extensions 🧩 button in the editor, or from AI Tokens ✨ for your tokens), check the "use for future payments" box and accept the applicable terms. This option is never enabled on its own — it always depends on your decision.
  • You can have several saved methods and mark one as your primary for automatic renewal, from that same window.
  • On the expiration date, if the automatic charge is approved, your extension renews on its own and you'll get a confirmation email.
  • If the charge is declined (for example, insufficient funds or an expired card), we don't retry indefinitely: we'll email you so you can pay manually or update your payment method, while your extension follows the normal expiration process in the meantime.
  • No longer want automatic renewal? Delete the saved method — there's no separate button to "disable" it, deleting the method is how you stop it. If you want, you can pay with the same method again later without checking "use for future payments" again.

Is it safe?

Yes. Hola Tienda never stores your full card number or security code (CVV) — only a reference issued by Wompi or DLocal (depending on your country) and non-sensitive data to display the method (brand and last 4 digits). Your full card data stays protected directly by the corresponding payment provider, under their own certified infrastructure. You can read the full details in our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

That way, your website never goes offline just because you forgot to renew it.
